I first want to thank all of you that were able to make the reunion. Truly it was a blessing for us to all come together. I believe that God is going to do something amazing with our family. I can just feel it in my spirit. He's already begun knocking down walls of division and is starting to heal and restore broken relationships that have kept many of us apart. I trust that God is working to change all of that. So those of you that have been praying, like myself, for our family's unity , well get ready because it's about to take off!! Because one thing is for sure... we all need family more than we know. We need one another. And while close friend are great to have, they can't take the place of those family connections. God wants us to really learn how to love on one and other and to forgive those things (no matter how mean, ugly, or painful) that may have taken place in the past. We have to do it in order to move forward and grow stronger as a family unit. Our younger generations' sense of family ties depend on it. They need US to set the example now. That's the only way they will be able to come together and become close. They have to see us doing it now.
For those of you who were unable to make... please know that we missed you dearly. But for those that came, God allowed us to have a great time. For my children and I, just seeing all of you and being in your midst was a wonderful treat. We've been here in Georgia now for 5 years and it's gets quite lonely without family. So the kids and I can't wait to see you all again real soon. I pray that every has made it safely home and that God's covering is over those that are yet traveling.
The chosen location for next year's reunion is Austin, Texas and is being hosted by our cousin, Darius Terrell. So it would be a good idea for us to start tucking money away right now little by little so we can make it there. We don't want anyone to miss out on that one for sure as we know that they do everything BIGGER in Texas!! : ) And I'm sure Darius will have BIG things in store for us. I can't wait!! Much love to all of you and remember to stay connected. Keep in touch with one another and call and check on our senior family members from time to time. I know that they'd be happy to hear from you.
